Among the largest comprehensive high schools in Maine, Bangor High School serves approximately 1,250 students in grades nine through twelve.  Our students have a history of distinguishing themselves as outstanding academic, athletic, and community leaders. With a state-leading number of National Merit Semifinalists, an Advanced Placement Program that consistently yields student performance above state and national levels, dozens of AP Scholars, and over 110 co- and extra-curricular state championships, the culture of achievement at our school is special. As a recent BHS graduate shared, “It’s cool to be smart here.”
