Best Buddies Pumpkin Painting Event Brings Students Together
Students came together after school to paint pumpkins, enjoy Halloween-themed movies, and forge new connections. The event not only celebrated the spirit of the season but also highlighted the mission of Best Buddies, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Thank you to Cara Maloney, senior program manager of Best Buddies Maine, and Bangor School Committee members Shelly O'Kere and Katie Brydon for attending our event. Also, a huge thank you to Black Bear Cinemas for the freshly popped popcorn and to Broadway Hannaford for the drinks.

Bangor High School's French and Spanish students attended the University of Maine's World Languages Day on Friday, Oct. 24. They enjoyed a day-long celebration of language and culture activities, including traditional music and dance, a spelling bee, a culture bowl, and competitions against Brewer High and Hampden Academy in poetry recitation and bag skits. Our BHS AP French students won the bag skit competition, and Jackson Whitney won the French poetry recitation. All students had an unforgettable experience!
