Mr. Mark Hackett has been nominated for the 2024 SkillsUSA Maine Cornerstone Award for the significant impact he has made in the field of career and technical education. UTC staff and students surprised Mr. Hackett with a special award presentation at a BHS staff meeting. Mr. Hackett will be recognized at a statewide meeting this week.
He has been an advocate for UTC students and programs as Tech Coordinator at Bangor High School for well over fifteen years. Mark’s dedication to career and technical education is evident through his frequent visits to UTC to observe students in action. His hands-on approach to learning and mentorship not only enhances the educational experience but also strengthens the connection between the high school and the broader technical community.
