The Bangor Speech and Debate team kicked off its competitive season by hosting the Paul Bunyan Classic. Fifteen teams and more than 100 students competed in a variety of events.
Bangor took first place in both Speech and Debate.

Students in Bangor High School Spanish classes recently explored the rich traditions of Hispanic Heritage Month through a unique study of the Mariposa Monarca (Monarch Butterfly).

Students researched how millions of monarch butterflies migrate from the United States and Canada to central Mexico each year and learned about their special connection to Día de los Muertos. In many Mexican communities, the arrival of the monarch butterflies coincides with the holiday and is seen as a symbol of remembrance and connection to loved ones who have passed away.

The vibrant hallway display features student-created butterflies and research projects representing Spanish-speaking countries and cultures across the Americas. This colorful exhibit celebrates language, culture, history, and the incredible journey of the monarch butterfly.

If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day.
